As I walked out one morning my ablutions to perform I espied amongst the inhabitants of Myatts field a stranger of golden hue loitering amongst the relics of yesteryear .....upon enquiring of his personage I detected a rainbow upon his shoulders and gold upon his eyelids. I believed upon first sighting that he may well be the legendary St RuPaul , a man of wondrous garments and make up. Upon closer inspection it was revealed to me that he was of a more heavenly disposition than the aforementioned drag queen.
In a state of awe and Damascene conversion I followed the strange being towards the light emanating from what appeared to be an overgrown tomb near the bomb craters of Angel town .....at the entrance of which I could make out the letters J , A , M and M.
The stranger spoke calmly "Fear not thou art on the guest list . Follow me down my brother "
After navigating the briars and tangled vines of the entrance I was surprised as to how bright the "tomb " was....apparently a strobe light, some relic from before the plague came , had refused to stop blinking since 2025.
A vague smell of amyl nitrate permeated my nostrils , my eyes grew accustomed to the strange neon glare and the wayfaring stranger said
"Feast thine eyes upon these riches laid before thee"
And Lo and behold the divination of mine eyes did reveal the most wondrous of visions
Gleaming manuscripts and scrolls did lay upon the old discotheque floor and on scant inspection I realised they were the long lost tenets of the first Presleyterian church of Elvis the Divine.
My angel quickly reorientated my impulses.... pointing sternly at the aforementioned scriptures he opined
"These manuscripts and songs have long been lost to mankind.... thy calling is to translate and replicate these times with new purpose and evangelical fervour"
I baulked at the concept of my calling and trembled under the great weight put upon my shoulders by the heavenly being but gathered together as much parchment as possible
I returned to the light of myatts field but Angle town was dark......
